Greetings!!! Mr. Wilhelm “Vent” Ventrillo here! Glad to meet anybody in the biz ... or anybody with the interest, at least.
I am a graduate of the Coney Island Sideshow School where I spent a lot of time gaining the secrets and knowledge that lets me pull off some of what I bring to the White Elephant Burlesque Society.
Be astounded as I hammer 30 penny nails into my skull, along with forks, spoons, thermometers and more. To clean house, how about a nice balloon to snort up and spit out and ring back and forth, nose through mouth, mouth through nose?! Be in awe as I wiggle and twiggle and shimmy and shake, move and groove out of an authentic roller buckle strait jacket! Be in shock as I perform unnatural acts with animal traps and walk on broken glass. Be alarmed as I eat, play and breathe with fire. Of course, I always have time to do a musical number here and there with the dear, sweet Lamia Luxuria ... and others to boot!
Can your hearts handle the sights and sounds from all of this?!?! Pray that it can, for then you will be in for a treat! And I’m not even talking about what I do; why, it’s the dear ladies of the troupe that have no problem doing that. I merely just like to be the one that shakes things up a bit and give the troupe a taste of the number one art form that was a staple bonus to the old time burlesque shows. Yes, dear friends, what better way to balance lovely lady after lovely lady than with some good, old-fashioned sideshow acts to keep you on your toes and begging for more?
No doubt from the first time you get a glimpse of the goggles atop my head to the boots on my feet, you will know that I ain’t all sane, and that will be the good thing about it!
So hurry hurry hurry, and looka looka looka! Get a glimpse, a gawk, a gander, a peek, a see at what the craze is all about! From all types of burlesque to the insane and mad world sideshow antics, there ain't quite another show like it, folks! So look no further for the acts that have people buzzing and talking alike.
